No offense - We are not all that

I did transcription for over 30 years. I’m very knowledgeable, but our knowledge is not the equivalent of a physician with clinical knowledge and hands on patient care that includes performing surgeries and responding to medical emergencies on a daily basis. They have college degrees and years of post graduate education. I would never compare myself with the skills required to be an RN either. Truthfully, I don’t think I could pass the prerequisites required to ger accepted into a nursing program because I stink at math. Nurses are backed by unions, but again many of them have college degrees and post graduate educations; those are the jobs that pay well. MT is a difficult job and should pay more, but some credibility was lost when the work went offshore and voice recognition became the norm.
