I have been transcribing for 13+ years now and after the cardiology clinic which I was working for merged with a big hospital in the area I knew my time was limited, which it was, as they sent all transcription to the hospital. I hooked on with a hospital clinic in Canada and not only were the doctors ESL, the dictations were poor and the pay was crap! How do they expect their employees to do excellent work and only pay .03 cents per line. I was making around $5.00 an hour working part time and finally said enough is enough. We have an important job and need to be paid accordingly!
