I don't think my cognitive issues are quite as bad as you might be imagining. But they do create an issue for me with typing. I have a 4.0 gpa for the course so far, so I'm not mentally handicapped or anything. I just have issues with the coordination required for super fast typing. Also, I am not considered disabled and have no medical records to speak of that could be used to get me SSI disability benefits. I was diagnosed 24 years ago, so even my diagnosis would not exist in my current medical record. I just don't trust doctors, so I tend to try to take care of myself without their help. I know that probably sounds like utter stupidity, but I have been harmed multiple times by doctors and don't wish to put myself in harm's way again.
