I don't remember what I did to tide me over - during the delay, but

I CAN tell you that I took early social security and am in the same boat as you are, and while my social security check DOES cover my bills and allow me to eat, it is a tight budget, and I am not sure what I'm going to do if something unexpected happens with my dogs or me. I sure am going to miss getting a tax refund, as I always used that money to do things like pay annual car insurance and get my dogs' shots and heartworm preventative and such. I DO have enough left in my retirement to pay for those things this year, but after that it will be totally depleted. I guess mostly how I don't go out to eat nearly as often as I used to. Quite a reward for somebody who was a successful medical transcriptionist and took great pride in her job, huh? Best of luck to you.
