I am 73 years of age and have been employed at a senior resident facility for a year now and OMG, what a relief it is to have a job that pays, takes out taxes and no BS. Senior Centers are always hiring and most of it is part time, so they welcome seniors. One of the receptionists where I work (two nights a week) is 79! Yep, that is the honest to gods truth and most of the others are there for supplemental income as well. Collect your SS and go from there. If you aren't eligible, then find another job, anywhere. If you are willing to work full time, there are plenty of jobs out there and you would be more than welcome. Some people do think what we do or did, is a worthwhile commodity.

Don't hesitate; stop feeling abused. There is a world out there and it ain't so bad after all. The WAH mentality is truly over-rated.
