Please still look for other work besides MT. Clinics aren't really using MTs anymore, for the most part. If they do, they'll be going EMR soon.
Also, if you're thinking working from home, know that as an IC for a clinic, you'll likely be responsible for purchasing whatever platform the doc is using, in order to be compatible. That isn't cheap. There isn't anymore "pick up a cassette and transcribe it, print it, and drop it off to the doc."
