I have been comparing online MT schools and had them narrowed down to 2. After reading many, many posts on this site, I am now feeling very disheartened about entering the field. From outsourcing to poor pay to no future in the field, not to mention "taking over" my computer, I am at a loss. I have a long history in the medical field (RN) but now need to work at home, or at least in a M-F office situation (long story, don't ask). This was my one big hope at using my knowledge to make more than my $8.75/hr. hotel desk clerk job. I'm in my 50s so career change options are limited. Career Step and Med-Line will be calling me next week.
