1. This field is almost all women.
2. The kind of women, in general, who sit for 8 hours, stare at a screen and listen to every single. solitary. breath. tongue click. swallow. gulp. burp. and know every single lab value, every ESL, are generally extremely smart, somewhat quiet women who just want to work and get their fair pay. In general, they do not create waves. However, at some point, when any woman is abused long enough, she gets sick okf it and says I am sick of huddling waiting for a storm. I am not going to live forever and I have a voice. I know most of my co-workers cannot speak up, but if I don't speak up for myself and for them, I will die having never had a voice.
