I've worked (and been paid) in several situations where the phone lines would go down or a computer system would go down, sat there without electricity, etc., and would still be paid my hourly wage, so it is not as far-fetched as you make it sound. If it were just a few hours during the week, then yes, UE, PTO, or making up the time is fine - but this is an entire week and those things will not cover an entire week.

I am in disbelief of the people on here who have been on the attack for what I have had to say. Years ago I was near bankruptcy and I don't want others to go through what I have been through trying to pull myself up by the bootstraps. What I have posted is not meant to be malicious - it is meant to help someone who may not know. It is for me to gather useful and positive information from others that I may not have.

I am too through with the negativity and judgment on this forum. If you are happy with the way things are, that's cool - you do you and be happy. I'm not and there are others who are not and want change. I'm the type of person who likes ask questions instead of just blindly accepting what I don't understand :)
