The way that we are paid is totally ridiculous and very unfair, especially for the amount of skills that we are required and expected to have. We have to pretty much be experts in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, be able to decipher mush-mouthed and heavy ESL dictators, and have top-notch spelling and grammar skills, yet most of these MTSOs don't want to pay for those skills. I think that all skilled, experienced MTs should be able to easily make AT LEAST $20-$25 an hour; however, many are barely even making minimum wage these days. It's totally depressing and insane.
