If I am OOW this week, I am signing up for a partial unemployment. We were hired for certain time with guaranteed work. I had work for over 2-1/2 years for 40 hours per week. However, the past four weeks, I have been OOW. I have been signing back in whenever work came in and basically was glued to the house for 15 hours to get my hours in. I will check during my schedule 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. (I am still giving them an extra hour. If I am short my 40 hours, I am signing up for unemployment and you should as well. If they do not have enough work, they should lay us off so we can look for something else but still have money coming in like every other company in the United States does for their employees. This is insane. I know I am a good employee and I am sure all of you are as well. I worked for another company acquired by Nuance for 12 years until Nuance bought them out. I have no idea what is going on but it is unacceptable. If we do nothing, we are insane. We have been paying into unemployment and are entitled to partial if they do not have work.
