Thanks for your reply. I realize my wording on OP was misleading. What I was wondering was if there were any MTSOs that hired subcontractors because they had text editing work for clinics. It is amazing that you work at a place that does that without an MTSO involved. It seems like the only text editing is for acute care (which I assume is hospital work), and I do not have that kind of experience nor do I want it. But I have a wealth of information/ experience in some specialties that must be of value to somebody - I hope anyway.

I know exactly what you mean about hanging in for a couple of years before retirement! But before I check out, I would really like to learn this new technology of text editing.
