Left TTS - tired of being screwed out of vacation - Ex MT Posted: Apr 7th, 2016 - 10:44 pm
I put in for vacation on March 1, and did not hear anything back until the day before we were supposed to leave. "No coverage" was told, plus I was informed that since I had not worked my required 20 hour week (not true), if I took the vacation days anyway and did not work 20 hours/week from then on, I would be terminated.
To me a measly 4 cpl and being screwed out of vacation isn't worth it. I said to _____ with transcription (I'm in school currently in an RN 2-year program, pre-nursing), and decided to apply for a minimum-wage PT job to pay my few bills until I graduate.
I'm truly sad - I have been an MT for 15 years and loved what I did. It's pitiful and pathetic what this field has devolved into. Just had to vent.
Good luck to all you other MTs out there trying to eek a living with increasingly impossible demands.
