17 years and the last has been all that you mentioned--anything but focused, wanting to get up, move more, tired of gaining weight, and,just tired! So I joined the gym in Dec--that helped some, mentally anyway. Now I have started Whole30 (just eat real food) and not just to lose weight, but it cleans out all the chemicals (junk) in your system. I was a low-carber most days anyway, so I haven't had extreme withdrawals from sugar, but eliminating processed foods--all of them--has helped tremendously. And now I understand all the testimonies that I kept reading about it. It does so much more than weight loss for so many. I can focus again, and I'm only in the first week. I can't explain the how/why, but I am really much better than I was before Dec. (And I was never a big sweets person, so it wasn't totally about sugar fogging me up; think it was the combination of horomones, sitting, job boredom, etc.) Good luck! I'm 47, through the biggest change, and feeling better now.
