Collecting unemployment - Billie Posted: Apr 4th, 2016 - 11:47 am
I should know the answer to this question, but I don't. If you live in one state and the large MTSO you work for is physically located in another state, which state pays unemployment? My company is constantly running out of work and I have a child to support who is 5 years old. I hope that I can get unemployment. I have not had any work for a week. I would go to the unemployment office but I do not have any official papers saying I have been laid off. My brother (who is a business manager for a business) says I have in fact been "laid off" due to having no work (and I am not paid for the hours I sit here), to send the MTSO my resignation and then go to the employment office. I need to protect my child and pay my bills. What to do. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
