I completely understand how you feel. These companies just demoralize us to the point, that we feel everything that is wrong is our fault, but believe me, there so many MTs out there that filed for UE, either full or partial, so this is not something out of the blue. That is why you need to act now.
If you can't find a babysitter, take the child with you, that just reinforces the mess you are in. I wish everyone would quit these places and file and pressure them to give you work like promised.
I took another PT job outside of MT and when I filled out the paperwork, it clearly stated, for every minute you are punched it, you are PAID! No customers and you are clocked in you are PAID!
Be strong, never be afraid when you are right.
