gray dog occluder used in cardiac surgery - Kim

Posted: Mar 15th, 2016 - 3:05 am

Anyone heard of a "grey/gray dog occluder" for heart surgery?  It must be somewthing slang, because I cannot find the term in any of my reference books, and when I search on internet, it simply pulls up stuff about surgery on dogs and such.  The surgeon is stating, "the distal portion was transected, spatulated, made hemostatic with a gray dog occluder." It is very clear that he is saying a "gray dog occluder," but maybe it is late and my hearing is really shot.  Thanks for any help from anyone that is familiar with this term in any of your transcriptions.
