If the doc didn't give a DOB to verify against the ADT, you can't assume the ADT is correct over the doctor. This is the reason they ding you for not flagging it. Just in the last couple months I've had it where the DOB was wrong. In fact, my own DOB was wrong in my own medical record, off by a year.
If the doc gives the DOB that matches the ADT and still gives the wrong age, you are free to change it because you know for sure that the math was just done wrong.
