Why is it ALWAYS the MT's fault? - Victim MT

Posted: Oct 20th, 2015 - 8:36 pm

Just curious about this.  If there is a mistake in the report or if there are multiple blanks, why is it ALWAYS the MT's fault?  Most of the mistakes and blanks could be avoid if doctors would learn how to speak clearly, spell names, or just speak slowly if they are not English natives.

If the MT cannot type the report because of the doctor's inability to speak clearly or properly, he/she should not be repremanded or fired for the mistakes or blanks.  Doctors need to be responsible for mistakes and blanks caused by their inability to speak.

More over, if a doctor does not dictate clearly, grammatically correct, or sloppy, then that should be considered as the doctor jeopardizing the patient's care, and they should be punished for it.  (NOT THE MT).

Just saying....
