I guess I'm also worried that every single coding job (remote or otherwise) requires at least 2 years' experience. I'm hoping that passing the employer's coding test might make the employer consider someone right out of school if they have their CCS.

Another worry is I've heard that coding could possibly go the way of transcription and be automated and/or off-shored. Seems like it would be more difficult to automate something like this though. I think I'm more worried about the requirement of 2+ years' experience needed, esp for remote jobs. I am hoping if I can pass the CCS/employers' tests they will consider someone without experience.
