If you are all upset about a time clock and being called out for being late, then my suggestion would be to go to IC status. And bashing it and the company is not going to make it go away. Certain records are required to be kept, so brush up on the rules and know that this has to happen and production doesn't matter. There has to be records kept for hours worked. This is a business and has to be treated as such.
