Your post echoes exactly how I felt when I quit being an MT 3 weeks ago, as I interviewed with a local nursing home and got a job there in payroll/accounts payable. Now, I have steady pay, paid time off, an AWESOME benefit package, and a great starting wage with a raise coming to me in 4 months and then yearly afterwards! I couldn't be happier to be out of the MT business! :) My hubby has commented repeatedly about how much happier my disposition is since I quit.
The good 'ole days of MTing at home are gone. I agree with you. If anyone is thinking of getting into this career, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!
