I've taken surveys on Amazon Mechanical Turk. I've also done a lot of repetitive tasks, paying .01, .05 and up, enough in one year to earn about $4000 that I sorely needed for taxes. Completely legitimate. You access it through your regular Amazon account if you have one. If not, it's easy to register for one. It's not the best paying (far from it) but it can help keep you afloat until something better comes along. Some people do it full time, have made a science out of it and are able to make not bad money.
If you decide to check it out, there is a message board run by turkers which is really helpful.
