MTs are leaving in droves because the pay is poor and they are running out of work. The pay is only likely to increase if the hospitals begin to truly value the work that needs to be done. But, the hospitals have budgets to meet, too, and it is easier to make that budget on the backs of the little people as it is more important to keep the doctors and nurses at least marginally happy.
