how would one type less than one twentieth of a percent - dawn

Posted: Dec 07, 2013

The size of the aneurysm is small, only 3 mm, and therefore, the risk as described would be fairly low, lower than 1% or even lower than one twentieth of a percent.

I am lost on this. TIA if anyone knows :)

Nothing wrong with the way it is. - Ned

Maybe a hyphen (one-twentieth), depending on your specs, but I'd leave it just like that.

thank you, looks good - dawn

1/20th of a percent, according to math and google is 5%, though I think the resident is meaning smaller than 1. So complicated! :)

thank you I will write it out.

How to write it - Jade

<0.20%
Nuh-uh. - Sorry.
[ In Reply To ..]
One-twentieth is equal to 1 divided by 20 so less than one-twentieth is >0.05%. What you wrote is less than 2 divided by 10.

But don't feel bad. I sucked at math in school, and I only recently realized as an adult that I'm actually not half bad at it. It was the teachers who sucked.

It is less than 0.0005 or less than 0.05%, and < and > are not typically allowed in medical transcription so write out the less than.
symbols for lesser than-greater than are always used in radiology. - just saying. NM

medical transcription.
LOL!! - wow

well perhaps they should get it off the medical charts and have it read by people who are not doctors and get it out of hte hospitals and not done on patients due to symptoms, illnesses and trauma for medical diagnoses.

surely you gest. good one, best I've heard since Sara saw Japan from her backyard in Alaska!

Acute care, orthopedics, oncology, radiology, cardiology, pathology, psychology, neurology, plastic surgery, autopsies among others, all medical transcription -

So They Audit "1 To 2 Percent" Of Our Lines...

to get an accurate measurement of any one MT's work!!!  This is true whether the MT ends up with 98% (failing and getting 8 cents or less per line) or 100% (getting top line rate. If you produce 10,000 lines per PP, that's only 100 to 200 lines out of ALL 10,000 lines!!!  And WORST OF ALL, having a range of lines they audit (1 to 2%) gives them the leeway to manipulate things even more.  For example, if they do 1% of your lines and your score is 100 ...
