I took a test for Qmed ET Solutions - Suzie

Dear Fellow Transcriptionists:

I took the first part of the proofreading, grammer, punctuation and medical terminology for Q MedEt Solutions yesterday and think I did well, but when I tried to download the transcription files from Word to Express Scribe I could not do it because when I tried to drag the transcription from the file sent to me to the Express Scribe it would not let me. I am a person who learns auditory more than visual and I when I told the recruiter this and asked for her phone number to walk me through this she e-mailed me back that she did not have a phone to do this. What? I know I did well on the first part and now Ifeel that I am being penalized for not being able to download the transcription part of the test. I did nothing wrong. When I call the office there is always an answering machine and when I leave a message I never get a call back. I am just getting so disgusted with this. Can anybody give me some suggestions on how I can get in touch and how to handle this because I want to work for them. Thanks for reading this long explaination.

That sounds really frustrating (both your computer and kinda strange about the company). Is your file saved in a C-file? I had a similar problem recently while testing and by some small miracle, I figured out it was my sound card drivers which I had to pay $40 (online)to fix. But, there were free programs online. I don't think this is your problem, though, I could hear my files. I'm just saying, it might be something internal?

Just trying to be helpful, but maybe not being so. I would be cautious, however, especially with not being able to reach the company, that you do a virus scan on those files.

It may be the extension of the file and how it is saved. - alias

It may be saved in an extension that express scribe does not recognize or is not compatible with. Many Olympus or dictaphone files are not recognized by express scribe and have to be converted to something it can read or play.

Has anyone that sent a resume into Premier Solutions received any feedback? I worked about 3-4 weeks for SGS. The people were really really nice. The pay was on time. The problem lies with too many Q.A. people and all having different opinions and no one agreeing on the same thing. They nick-picked me to pieces. I had a job come up today and it was a STAT.
