I suppose I could any day now if they decide to acquisition my company, but I would refuse this kind of pay formula and would look for another job ASAP. If the en masse won't work for this minimum wage (sounds like), they will have to change it, but I suppose they could send it all to India. Wonder what the clients would say about that? They can only do what the industry will allow them to do in my opinion.

For all naysayers, I have worked for a service that was bought out by Nuance a couple of years ago and refused Nuance offer after the acquisition to work for them-No thanks! Believe it or not, I got another job that was better!

At this point, it is all speculation based on fear. The only new information is when it goes into effect and how bad the formula truly is cannot be determined until we are given numbers.

I do not really see that much new in the formula. I worked at a big company where the accounts were graded according to difficulty. Those who were on a level 9 or 10 difficulty were paid more than those on an 6. Shift differentials are nothing new either. Right now any decisions made by MTs on the new payscale at Nuance are uninformed decisions.

was from an email that it seems only a few got. Knowing Nuance, it probably won't be good for the MT is all I am saying...it will benefit Nuance! So, if it isn't worth it, then don't accept it, that's all!

EVER made any changes that have been of benefit to, rather than robbed, the MT? I don't think so. Those who are wary of what's coming have every reason to feel that way. It's based on past experiences with this company of employee ripoff artists.

One should be wary no matter who your employer is because the only person who looks out for you is you. The wariness should have started much earlier than now though. Some have gone beyond wariness though and are panicking. Panic rarely leads to smart decisions. Nuance may be using me but I am also using them as an interim step to whatever is next.

I just applied for a job, aced the test, and have 18+ years experience. I was offered .06 cpl to start, but will be "generously" bumped up to a whopping .07 cpl once I've proved myself. I have never, ever been offered anything lower than .08 cpl in my entire career. According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I thought they were 2 different services. Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows. All the small companies have been merged I guess. I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR. Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

Does anyone know why the ad says "No inquiries from overseas" when they obviously offshore the work? Anyone reading that would incorrectly assume they do not offshore. If Webmedx does away with or changes their recently advertised "PRODUCTION BASED INCENTIVE" bonus and adopts the Nuance quality based bonus then this change may be considered by quite a few WMX employees as yet another cut in pay.
