Nuance Nasties keep rolling out - - Buckle up buttercup

Posted: Jul 01, 2013

The hits keep coming.  In June, Nuance spent thousands of dollars sending out "wellness" packages to teach us how to balance our work, home and recreational life to make us balanced individuals and more productive in our work like -- Can anyone say Nazi, Hitler, Big Brother, Communist China in the same sentence?  Pitched the entire package.

Their solution to "balancing" our recreational time is now to rework everyone's PTO...you guessed it!  With all the pay cuts, out of work, crappy work, etc., your PTO (for approximately 85%) will drop and drop significantly.  Who the hell can afford a vacation to "balance" their work life/home life when making minimum wage if you're lucky.  Cry

They become more deceitful every day.  No way am I giving them ANY personal information, gym or otherwise, than they already have. Thanks to Obamacare every mole you have, every medication you are on has been "approved" to be reviewed by federal, state, and local agencies...yeah my boro council prez really needs to know I had a mole removed from my ass in 2002 - sure to save someone's life.

PTO decrease - more info please?

[ In Reply To ..]
can you give us more info on this? When might it happen, etc.? This really will be the final straw. Thanks.

I think they are just coming down on people not getting 40 hours - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
You have to work 40 hours to get the higher PTO rate. If you do 39 and under you get significantly less PTO. I know I just recently got a big smack down that if I do not get 40 hours every week, I will be reclassified as progressive part time.

PTO decrease - xx

[ In Reply To ..]
I think this has been the case since our last pay decrease. Pathetic huh?

Happy to give more info since there is misformation - about needing 40 hours, etc

[ In Reply To ..]
For the previous quarter, your LPH is reviewed (April through June). Based on what Nuance determines as far as your system hours, etc., and LPH - your PTO rate is decreased. If you were gettng $ 10.00 PTO, and Nuance recalculates your hourly PTO rate, based on the above at $ 8.75, your PTO rate will be $ 8.75 starting July through September, regardles of FT/PT status. This is recalculated at the end of September for the next quarterly PTO. The rate at which you accrue PTO is based on the number of hours worked. PT/FT does not determine what hourly rate you are paid for that PTO.

**IT IS NOT BASED ON 4O HOURS OF WORK or THE HIGH RATE PTO - READ, READ, READ. INCORRECT ASSUMPTIONS HELP NO ONE AND POSTERS DOING THAT MAKE A BAD SITUATION WORSE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT READ AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.**

I was talking about another aspect of PTO, so calm down - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
You DO INDEED need to work 40 hours in order to get the higher ACCRUAL of PTO. Progressive part-time gets significantly LESS ACCRUAL of PTO.

It was obvious what I was talking about, your reading comprehension seems to be the problem.
Then clarify and drop the personal attacks - WE ALL KNOW how you love to post
[ In Reply To ..]
Regardless of how stupid the post is.

THANK you informing us of these changes - without the rudeness some think

[ In Reply To ..]
is appropriate. Personally, I would prefer 1 factual post, then 50 that think every idea they have is profound regardless of whether there is any fact to it.

The bottom line is, Nuance is putting the screws to all of us. I hope you continue to post your information as you can and ignore those that are so full of themselves, they make no room for knowledge from anyone else.

I am the OP of "Nuance Nasties" and I appreciate - your comments.

[ In Reply To ..]
My sole purpose for posting this information is so that MLS' are aware of what is going on as quickly as the information is available. I realize some of us cannot check things as quickly as others. However, everything I post can be verrified through the employee handbook, Nuance policies changes, emails, etc. at your leisure. It is up to each individual whether or not they will research and educate themselves as to what is occurring with their jobs. As for the "snark" comments by a few, I am not interested at all in the namecalling and attacks that some want to employ. I am above that as are most of the MLS' I see posting here. A few with a bad attitude because they are corrected or called out on facts, will not deter me from bringing you all the factual information I can. The more informed we all are, Nuance is less effective in their spin.

I am sorry, but it is not really clear what you think is going on--sm - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
By stating PTO is going down, you have not stated any real information as to what is going on or what you are referring to. So, what is going on with PTO?

Seems Nuance Nasties posts are pretty clear - what are YOU not understanding. A fifth grader can follow this.

Okay, and this is new how? Been here 2 years - and this is how they have always done it.
[ In Reply To ..]
by the way, you are very condescending and based on your post, you probably shouldn't be.
Yes, I agree it is unclear what the OP is saying. - ANON ANON ANON

I thought I was being helpful in posting what I thought they were talking about utilizing FACTS and got a big giant nasty smack down.

There are 2 people of particular interest posting in this thread, the OP and I think the other may be the OP's other personality. Both have the same grammatical style and nasty tone.

I have heard nothing and seen nothing about Nuance changing anything about PTO. The only thing I have heard recently was directly from my TL that they are cracking down on people not logging exactly 40 hours per week, as the PTO accrual for that is different than for those working 39 or less (in my case a couple of weeks a year difference), which does equal money and time so I am still completely stunned by the extremely rude comment I got that I should shut up and die basically.

I posted Nuance Nasties for the benefit - of those that either had not

[ In Reply To ..]
yet gotten this information or were new to Nuance and did not know this was being done.

It is really sad to see the above speculation from posters as to who wrote what and the hatefulness that followed by a few.

If you do not want the information, skip over it. There are those that want the information and accept it graciously and politely.

Real Information? - Really?

[ In Reply To ..]
I have just read every post under the OP. Wow!

Okay, I'll bite. I don't see any real information in here that should be news to anyone who has checked their mailbox or read their employee manual. If the OP feels like they are being informative, okay, but I don't see it myself.

What I glean from this post is that the person writing it is being a whole lot less informative than they think they are and going on a rant against their employer. Nothing wrong with a good rant if you feel like it, but trying to pass it of as being informative is kind of juvenile and ignorant. It's a great rant, I'll give you that, but there's just no substantive information there, in my opinion.

The only real information I see here is that the OP is really unhappy. Unhappy enough to compare Nuance to Hitler, and to me that's really kind of an insult to people whose families suffered and died under the Nazi regime. Here's some real information for you. The people that suffered at the hands of Adolph Hitler and the Nazi regime didn't have a choice. Be thankful you don't live in Nazi Germany, and if you are really that unhappy, then get out while you're still alive. No one is holding you in a concentration camp against your will.

Now I hope you don't take offense to my post. I have just as much right to rant as you do. In my opinion, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that your post is loaded with information for new people, but it's just really not that informative at all. If you don't like the opinion of people who think there's really no information there, at least be glad you live in a country where you can make your own choices and not Germany under the regime of Hitler. If you are a reader who thinks that there is information in there that you didn't already know and the post is informative, well that's good for you too.

Rant over!

Have a nice afternoon and a great holiday. Let's celebrate our freedom and our right to our own opinions.

Really's post is spot on. No new info here. Move along. - NM anon

Nothing New Here - I Agree

[ In Reply To ..]
Not trying to keep this stupidity going, but I happen to agree that there is really no new information in the original post either. Comparing Nuance to Hitler is majorly stupid. Hitler? Seriously? Educate yourself and you might think before you post something just that stupid. Paula Deen ain't got nuttin on you, honey child.

Go ahead and commence to your name calling at me also. It's fun to watch you come unhinged because the world does not agree with you.

funny - head hurt much?

[ In Reply To ..]
You do have to admitâ€Â¦. it’s pretty funny watching the corporate Nuance suit’s head explode! I woke up in a bad mood but after reading all this, I can’t wait to come back after I spend 8 hours making less than minimum wage and see what else he/she writes!

Actually your posts probably make Nuance suits rather happy - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Your style of "communication" is so adversarial to your fellow MTs that I discard anything you write. Well, and I also know that you didn't impart any real information. This has always been Nuance's PTO policy.

The fact that you weren't paying attention when hired and just now discovered this does not make it a high priority for the rest of us.

Here is a bit of wisdom for you. If you would like a higher PTO rate for next quarter, try working harder this quarter instead of spending your time making incoherent posts here.

What Have We Learned Here? - Quite A Lot

[ In Reply To ..]
Nuance has MUP so that it is impossible for you to make less than minimum wage in 8 hours a day (assuming here that you are a full-time employee working 40 hours a week).

So what have we learned here?
1. You're not a truthful person.
2. You need to seriously improve your skills.
AND/OR
3. You need to find another line of work; you are obviously challenged at what you do, and you're way in over your head.

Pity, pity.

Thanks for the information. The fact that you're mentally challenged and can't make minimum wage without the assistance of MUP just about explains everything you wrote in your myriad of misspelled and incoherent jumble of posts.

You make stupid look smart.

Want to know what is really funny? - I Agree

[ In Reply To ..]
What is really funny is that you think everyone on here that doesn't share your warped sense of view is a suit. Does it make you feel better to pretend that anyone who disagrees with you must be suit? I guess you have to have 2 brain cells to rub together to understand the concept, but you seem oblivious to the idea that an employee of Nuance would/could disagree with you.

So basically, even you take your own self for a fool.

Yeah, it became pretty obvious that she was replying to her own posts - Hilarious

[ In Reply To ..]
Unhinged is a good word to use. There is a string above of her having a really nice conversation with herself.

Wmx/nuance Paycut Meeting, listen To Tape Shut Up Or QUIT, Nuance Attitude?
Dec 12, 2011

According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

If Webmedx does away with or changes their recently advertised "PRODUCTION BASED INCENTIVE" bonus and adopts the Nuance quality based bonus then this change may be considered by quite a few WMX employees as yet another cut in pay. I’m sure that there are quite a few MT’s currently at WMX that have a high QA average and are earning $300-$400 (some even more) in production incentive pay each pay period, which equates to $600-$800 per month. As an example, acco ...
