Newest BS--QC Grid - anonymous QC

Posted: May 27, 2015

An email was sent to QC stating that even though we are pretty much just doing a second pass editing job now and on production only, it was stated they still expect us to send feedback to MLS.  So instead of using Fiesa for its intended purpose we are suppose to go back to sending feedback emails.  First of all, from reading posts on here it has been stated by many that QC error feedback doesn't count for anything with regards to pay, etc., so why waste time looking at it.  So it seems that us sending it would be a waste of time for the most part anyway, but how they expect numerous feedback emails a day for production only pay is beyond me.

I am in QC but did not get that notice. I would fight that - though since the pay grid

[ In Reply To ..]
that was distributed contains no allowance for anything other than production. What platform is this for? How are you going to send emails? Are the email addresses even readily available? Boy, Nuance you keep digging yourself deeper.

Now that you mention it we MLS have to read - and respond to everything FIESA

[ In Reply To ..]
On our own time. That's how it has always been.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, right? Nothing like being forced to read and accept our "errors" on our own time, being FORCED to check the box that to my interpretation means:

"Yes, have mercy on me for my errors, pay me less by all means because I left out a word. You have my sanction for this because I am forced to sign this and accept my grave error on my own time."

Like we really want to read this in the first place, then it takes half an hour to go through the rigamarole of FIESA accepting, then attempting reversal, where WE have to find it in our platform if we can and tell THEM the exact place in the audio we are disputing, and then they never reverse anymore anyway.

Yes, I know that stuff doesn't apply to QC audits, only post-audit, but just pointing out we are also on production and are expected to do a whole lot of FIESA work (if I did what they suggested it would probably be 15-30 minutes a day unpaid, but I freaking HATE FIESA and NEVER go on there unless there is a particularly heinous purported "error" which, even if they won't reverse, they will darn well hear what I have to say about how ridiculous it is.)

That sounds like Nuance alright. You will invariably be told (like we are) that the cost for all this unpaid time is figured into your line rate. Yeah right.

That must be in your area specifically. I did not - get that email either. I would

tell them to stick their feedback right up there with their grid.

I'm betting everyone will get it - anonymous QC

Obviously I'm not going to say anything too identifying. But yeah same opinion, they can stick it up their grid. As one of the MTs stated taking the unpaid time to deal with trying to get audits reversed is bad enough and takes up quite a bit of my time as it is.

they go unread - fiesahater

I only go into FIASCO when I'm basically forced to by my TSM. Then, and only then, do I go into it. I put "No access to rpt, only reviewed comments" and then my initials, but I actually only barely scan the comments in the first place and I get out as fast as I possibly can. It is a waste of my time and I despise FIACSO. It's such a waste of their money and the idiots at Nuance don't even realize it.

I may start using a standard comment of - sm

At least the comment will be typed with a smile.

I didn't get that email either - nm

First they launched the new pay grid. Unfortunately for N, some people actually made more money than before, so then they started "tweaking" it and kept doing that every couple of weeks for whatever lame reasons they could think of until we stopped making money. Expect that. Someone must be making too much, so their precious grid is not working the way it should. Now, if they make everyone waste their time, it should get them the numbers they were hoping for.

Why would N care what you make? I don't understand what the problem with that is in the first place. Even if you are making more money you are still making them more money right? This company should want their MTs to excel and be profitable. I hate this company and the other one.

They are really funny!!!.... So, you pay me min wage in a week or the other, but you expect me to work like I'm actually earning something.

NEWS FLASH!!! - You get what you pay for!!!

No email for me either, but providing feedback and - mentoring would fall under QA, not QC2.

[ In Reply To ..]
I would just decline, especially as it appears to pertain to your area specifically. Everyone could always just forward quick edits to your TSM and let him/her organize and distribute it. Let him/her earn their keep. Alternatively, ask your TSM if they will be taking a paycut to make sure his/her numbers look good. Once upon a time we were QA specialists and feedback and MLS interaction was the biggest part of our job. Guess what? Now it's a matter of $$. Why not suggest their new 1800 Indian hires be responsible for sending feedback. That would be HILARIOUS! You go, Nuance!

Didn't get this email, but would decline if I did - Another QC

[ In Reply To ..]
Nuance has lost all leverage with QC with this pay rate. I just wouldn't do it. I won't do anything at all for them more than the bare minimum. The grid doesn't allow for time to look up addresses and compose emails.

Here is some feedback for Nuance, aint gonna - happen. Let the Indians have it all

You're going down in flames anyway. I must admit, it seems to be sinking quicker than I imagined it would. Gotta love it! By the way, my last day is Friday. Consider this my notice.

I would flat out refuse. - no money in it

[ In Reply To ..]
If it does not count as lines, we should not have to do it. Isn't that what the whole Transcend lawsuit was about?

I awoke to start my shift this morning and - found this email too. Sorry boss

[ In Reply To ..]
but not happening until you distribute email stating how this unproduction time is being compensated. Remember, you get what you pay for.

My thoughts exactly - anonymous QC

Not going to do it. They want feedback then pay for it, otherwise....

This Newest Decrease In Pay Reinforces My Decision
Mar 02, 2010

to quit.  I gave my notice last week.  CCM called and talked me into staying.  I said I would try it out a couple of more weeks.  The next day I got 2 ASR reports, one a 9 minute report with over 200 corrections and a 4 minute report with 56 corrections.  I was so ticked off that I just logged off on Friday and haven't logged back in since.  I haven't checked my e-mail, so I don't know if I have been fired yet.  This newest screwing makes me ...

What happens when you make 100% QA, less than 10% QC but your lines are under 100 LPH and not on the grid? Let's say you had all that and was at 90 C-LPH....is that still 7 cpl then? Thanks! ...

New Pay Grid.
Mar 24, 2015

So after anguishing over this new pay grid I began crunching numbers. If I continue with my average line count which is around 170 lph and fall off the grid I will be making $12.75 ph. If I send more than the QC% of 10% I will make 11.90. So worst case scenario is $11.90 ph at this point. I have looked around at other jobs and as it has been stated years of MT experience does not transitiion well into other fields. Options:  Start over in a whole new area, retail, customer service, and ...

Pay Grid
Apr 09, 2015

I have to say 9 months ago when I hired in, I was very skeptical of all the nay sayers on this forum.  The new pay scale came out and a month into it, I was like awesome!  I was getting 100% most every week and a decent paycheck.  Now...........I have been under 99% consistently for 6 weeks!  I continuously watch, I will get a 100%, another 100% and then the game is on!  They are going to keep auditing until they find one that will knock me off the pay scale and have suc ...

Fell Off The Grid....

This is the first time on this new pay plan that I've fallen below 99%.  I have had two reports audited so far.  Usually I have three or four, so maybe there is still hope.  The two reports I have had audited each had a tiny 0.25 point error -- enough to drop me down to a 98.75!!  ~sigh~ ...

Take A Look At The Grid ... Nuance Doesn't
Feb 13, 2015

What's Wrong With Their Stupid Grid?
Mar 13, 2015

There are many, many things wrong and unfair about their moronic scheme to accomplish wage theft, but here's just one: The doctor says something stupid and I know it's wrong, but I'm not going to put in a blank because that will put me over the threshold where I have to send it to QA and that will put me over the threshold of not meeting the less than 10% QC criteria. I apologize, stupid doctor, but this is not my fault. It's yours for saying something stupid. I realiz ...

INDIA'S POWER GRID COLLAPSES - 680 MILLION LOSE POWER
Jul 31, 2012

One of the things I have repeatedly written and warned about when it comes to outsourcing is the uncertain infrastructure that many foreign countries have - and I'm not just talking about their electrical grids. Foreign countries introduce huge elements of uncertainty (read, RISK) when it comes to their physical infrastructure, but also their social, governmental and legal infrastructures.  And when it comes to something as CRITICAL as American healthcare records (which, may I remind ...
