And here we go again with the Fiesa Error Alert Emails..It's like a cycle - to beat you down and make you hate your job

I think I am going to do what a poster below suggested and block them. I don't see that having the reviews come through helps me in any way. I have also noticed that some of these jobs have been QCd twice for some reason - and it is not a post audit. So frustrating to get dinged on things that I just can't prove I did or didn't do....I hate that part of this company.

Your QC/TL person can see what you did or didnt do. Contest - it, make THEM prove you did wrong. nm

Here's the thing about FIESA and QA, why should we have to prove that we are RIGHT? Takes up my time when I could be making money. I have said it directly to my supervisor, somebody needs to be "policing the grammar police."

This company has no clue. That is one of the reasons they are ALWAYS hiring.

insist they double check the OS qa, that will get old quick and hopefully, the OS qa will stop. It will be a bonus when they learn that most of those mistakes were not made by the US MTs, but were placed there by the OS qa.

How much of your time will it take to say I didnt make that - mistake and I am contesting SM

The time involved here will be on the part of your TL. I imagine they will quickly get tired of having to double check reports. If they dont check them, keep up with the emails, that will get old quick also.

I have only had 1 error protested that did not get reversed and I always make bonus, but my point is that I AM GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT. It's just wrong.

MTs have to do what they have to do to try to change this policy. Yes, it is wrong, but what are ya going to do? Just take the punches and do nothing to help yourself. Fine, do nothing. You must be one of those that are not proactive and wait for "someone" else to fix a bad situation.

You assume that Nuance would do things in a logical and reasonable manner and would tweak the whole QA/QC process to be efficient, fair and educational. However, none of those things are true.

The entire structure of account assignments is proof of their inefficiency. My primary and 4 secondaries ALL have different TLs. How is it efficient for me to have to contact 2 to 5 TLs and wait for an email before moving to a secondary account when I am OOW?

that system is, is going to get noticed. And if that clog starts messing with the bottom line ($), it will be changed. And I think swamping team leads with requests to contest the QA, will affect the bottom line. TLs not able to productively do all of their duties is not going to sit well with management.

But really, do you have another suggestion? It doesnt even have to be a better suggestion, just something, any action that can be done to help a bad situation.

There will always be those to whom nothing will make a difference, in their opinion. They are the ones that wait for someone else to address the problem. But by doing something, managment will at least know you are paying attention and are willing to protest and demand that these wrongs be righted. The thing is, OS qa is making mistakes. There is no denying that so it is not like this is a subjective issue. It is based on facts that can be verified.

You clearly are assuming that people aren't fighting the QA/QC. I bet you are wrong. Most people want that bonus and the only way to get it is to FIGHT for it.

A handful of people post on this site so you have NO WAY of knowing how "clogged" the system gets with requests for reversals.

My point is this, Nuance does not behave in a logical way on anything. Their response would probably be to hire more QC and QA people, not to fix the system.

I don't know why you are posting all over the place about this. You have absolutely NO clue as to how many of us protest our QA.

Human nature being what it is, I would say most of us protest when they get it wrong.

Also, you must realize that the bulk of "corrections" are probably legit, as editing lends itself to making mistakes. You can't clog your TLs mailbox with bogus reversal requests or you will probably get fired and definitely look like an idiot.

Just got a 1.0 ommitted dictation error for leaving a blank - anon

This dictation was a horrible mess and was mostly blanks but the QC decided to be nasty and say I should have heard the word even though she agreed the dictation was awful and impossible to hear.

Really, should I have heard the word? Maybe I heard the word but since the entire dictation was a bloody mess, maybe I thought I should leave a blank because it was the PRUDENT thing to do?

I truly despise these QC people and wish them ill.

If, after listening to a report, I think I hear a blank, I will always put the 0 point blank error, or a comment error. I agree that it was prudent to leave a blank. We are told. as QCs, to leave blanks if we are unsure and send up to the next level (although I've gotten dings on a few things like that myself!). I am sorry that happened to you - it should have and it was very unfair. You, as the MT, have a much harder job and I appreciate all the hard work you put in to making the reports look as good as they do.

I always get audited on lousy dictation, poor audio. When I leave a blank it is either because I could not understand a rotten dictator or I wasn't sure what he was saying, and if you put in the WRONG word you really get dinged. Who is to say that the "auditor" or QA can hear the word? You have no proof. I had one QA who gave me feedback and had bad spelling in the remark! I hate this, it is like being in the 4th grade all over again.

Granular Vs. Granulation On FIESA Alert?

I received a "critical error" alert that I used the word granulation instead of granular in a report that was by a heavy ESL.  Seriously?  That's a critical error?  As a FYI I relistened and it still sounds like granulation so I've sent it to the manager for review.  Either way ....it would not compromise patient care! ...

NEVER Get Error Notifications In Fiesa

I used to almost NEVER get error notifications in Fiesa.  Now that the new "compensation plan" has been put into place, I get a notice every other day that they found an error.  Due to my work ethic established over decades, I have not sped up my QAing of reports at all, accepting my fate that I will now be making third world wages until I find a new employer.  Supposedly post-audit has managed to find these errors in my work.  I don't buy it for a minute.  How much lower can Nuance go ...

On 10/8/13 I downloaded Antivirus Security Pro per instructions and they immediately charged my credit card $99.99.  It was started that I was automatically granted a 12-month access in which to re-download at any time.  When downloaded, there was an icon on the desktop and the program listed in the folder on C drive.  My old antivirus was still good, so I did not try to the product right away.  Around 11/1/13 did try it and it had disappeared, icon and program.  Tried t ...

Sorry for the dumb question but I can't get any answers from my head honchos...where do you go to review your reports that have been audited? I've checked the manual and I see DocQManage.  That's not even on my computer (DocQScribe is).  I'm in Fluency.  I've tried to log into FFT Manager with my # with DEP on the end plus the password so graciously supplied to me but I keep getting "account not recognized" as an error message.
