I received a quality alert feedback that I had failed and wanted to know if anybody knew if this was an actual audit or what? And if so, has this happened to anyone and what happens? Thanks.

I got a call yesterday from my new QA spec and she said she would be sending it to me and I did mess up but it was just 1 report they had picked, not 5 and it was probably the hardest report I had done in months. It was the first and only time I had ever done this dictator and I don't see how they randomly out of all my reports pulled this one. My CCM has not called me yet but QA says she will.

we are either going to be put on PM and get docked the 3 cpl for everything going to QA, or will be docked pay because we are paid too much for our "skill"

Let me also guess... this was a very short report!

I think they are doing this on all of the "short reports" and coming up with errors which looks like a fail, when in all actuality, if these were in a group of 10 reports pulled and all lines calculated, we would not have failed.

wer an aggregate score of 5 reports, so you could actually fail one and still come up over 98%. Has this changed?

that maybe they don't count and they are like a warning? has anybody had one and been contacted yet? and if they are not real audits, what is the real like, is it still 5 reports?

Some clients take it to heart more than others.

One of the Q's accounts sends ALL of its work to the Q and kept every single one of their inhouse MTs to do nothing but quality audits on the Q's work! There are more than 15 of those MTs sitting there all day/night just examining every report. The Q has to fix every error and if the client's quality audits fall below threshold in # of errored reports or quality scores, either one, they get reduced or no-pay discounts.

what is going on but when I asked my QA if this was a for real audit she said yes and I asked what happened to the 5 reports and it was kind of vague answer like the audit team is now just pulling a percentage of your line count. So, now I am saying if I go on performance management, do I have like 3 more times to pass the audit with just 1 report each time and then am I just fired if I don't pass them?

I have not looked to see if I have one, but has anyone else noticed when you finish a job that it no longer says, "auto saving" but instead says, "checking job for errors"????? What kind of errors exactly is it checking for and like the above poster says, something fishy is up here. I am sure they are looking for another way to dock us more money.

I noticed that too lately. Not sure when I first noticed it. It may have been after the fix. I have an account that if no "dictator for" field is left empty a popup message will automatically come up and say error for dictated field or something other along that line. I do wonder if now the program can automatically check if its a heading or something else that was changed. Talk about paranoia big time here.

I've noticed that message also happens when the jobs are loading so I don't think the errors it's checking for have much to do with our output, BUT I could be wrong. I'm kinda paranoid too. haha

I have worked for Medquist 10 years and never ever gone below 98.9% and in one day got two fails for ridiculous things....something very wrong going on here. Sent an e-mail to quality person with 6 words....you have got to be kidding! I have transcribed for 35 years and have never seen anything like this.

I received QI (quality improvement team) "feedback" directly from the account who requested an explanation and demonstration of understanding of errors. Not the same thing, I guess.

Since the goal of MQ is obviously to cut costs, there's little doubt that they are targeting us higher-paid MTs. What a coincidence that they find the most difficult dictators and find fault with our work. This makes me doubt that they "randomly" check our reports. For all I know, they keep going through our most difficult reports until they can find mistakes and AHA! start slinging the mud enough to either make us quit or cut our pay.

IMO it's to reduce people to such low pay - that they have to quit to live

and then of course the UI benefits are harder to get,etc. They want people to quit, it's getting closer to their stated goal of major "disposal" by the end of 2010. Anybody they lay off is eligible for TAA benefits, so they'd rather have people quit.

She was definitely on the higher-paid end. She was getting audited weekly and the QC was pulling reports from 30 days earlier. It seemed they were looking for any mistake to let her go. Every audit she got 100%. I must say that she did not work her schedule very closely and that is probably what did her in. One week she could not log in and when she called in to tech they said she willfully abandoned her job. She didn't even get UI because MQ fought her. However, she did find a better job- they are out there!

I ran an error report for all reports, all accounts on my platform for this quarter, 10/1 - 10/18. So far the Quality Index is 84% vs Quality Score 99.18%. Didn't they advertise this new error scoring as working out in our favor? Doesn't look like it to me. This is based on 2194 jobs and 105,358 lines audited on E5. I checked the box that says view all corrections on the correction report. ...

On 10/8/13 I downloaded Antivirus Security Pro per instructions and they immediately charged my credit card $99.99. It was started that I was automatically granted a 12-month access in which to re-download at any time. Sorry for the dumb question but I can't get any answers from my head honchos...where do you go to review your reports that have been audited? I've checked the manual and I see DocQManage. That's not even on my computer (DocQScribe is). I'm in Fluency. I've tried to log into FFT Manager with my # with DEP on the end plus the password so graciously supplied to me but I keep getting "account not recognized" as an error message. EditScript was downloaded from employer in case I do back up accounts, but have not opened or used it yet. I did a complete scan by Norton 360 last night and it listed a high risk threat: editscript mt.msi "compressed threats." Anyone know anything about this? I've had Norton just ignore this file for the future, but wonder if it contained a virus when downloaded? ...

I received a "critical error" alert that I used the word granulation instead of granular in a report that was by a heavy ESL. Seriously? That's a critical error? As a FYI I relistened and it still sounds like granulation so I've sent it to the manager for review. Either way ....it would not compromise patient care! ...

After reading the emails below, I had to post. After starting with Nuance, getting great QA reviews, great post audit reviews, and thinking I was doing well - I have gotten THREE major alert emails in 2 days. I have since discovered these were reviewed by Offshore QA. Why? Do we not have enough reviewers onshore? I think I am going to do what a poster below suggested and block them. I don't see that having the reviews come through helps me in any way. I have also noticed that some of these jobs have been QCd twice for some reason - and it is not a post audit. So frustrating to get dinged on things that I just can't prove I did or didn't do....I hate that part of this company. ...

I only have an hour window between my 2nd shift job and the 3rd shift job, and I try to sneak in a nap, but after a couple of hours I find myself yawning and losing focus. Coffee doesn't seem to help nor do any of the energy drinks. So far, 5 minutes of jumping jacks or something every hour has helped the most, but I still feel I am not at my best (and my production shows it). There is still another scam company out there offering to help "train" students and graduates. They will kindly let you do their real work, the work clients are paying them for. This is unacceptable and unethical. It will not look good on your resume because potential employers do not look kindly on this. I worked for a consulting firm doing coding for a very, very large hospital/trauma center and medical college. Guess what - the acct was lost. Guess why we all lost our jobs with this company. because all the new clients are looking for an offshore option in order to cut coding costs ANd because it gives them 24-hour coverage. slowly sinking here because my quality has always been 98-100 quality, years and years. Now, however, I am expected to maintain 99% quality, on a hideously difficult account, but I must also maintain my LPH. In other words, I have to listen to reports on the fastest speed I can to get my LPH yet maintain some form of quality. The reports go to QA who in turn listen at the slowest possible speed to give errors for not including 'the' and mind you this cannot even be heard unless you ...

Just got an email about getting a new quality coach. This, of course, answers my question of why no emails for the past week from her. I hope she didn't lose her job. She was a really good coach, the best one I've had in the last 7 years, and wasn't one who corrected little things like punctuation in audits or things that made no difference in the report integrity. She is one I will miss. I only hope the new one is also with a strong QA ...
