How do I uninstall Windows Live Mail... - MM MT-see msg

MModal made me install Windows Live, but I need to uninstall it. Long story, but it was a disaster. When I go into my Add/Remove programs, all I see are: Windows Live Essential, Windows Live ID sign-in Assitant and Windows Live Upload Tool. Do I just remove all those and hope it's okay? There is no Windows Live Mail in my add/remove program list.

I need to uninstall it because everytime I try to open a file that was sent to my Outlook personal e-mail address, it opens it in Windows Live Mail. I just want it GONE.

If you click on Windows Live Essentials, it then lists the programs under that. I mistakenly installed everything and then went in and uninstalled all but the email.

You double-click, then you get an option of what you want to uninstall. I just chose the Live Mail. I'd like to uninstall the other Windows Live things, but I'm afraid....I have no clue if they were there to begin with or not. Anyway, the mail is gone.

I guess some like it, but I knew the minute I installed it that it wasn't going to work for me. The Web Mail is much better.

I spent hours trying to work out Live Mail stuff. It works okay for some, but for me, it didn't work out. I can't remember now, but I either couldn't send or couldn't receive. Tech was unable to help. They worry when it's not an MModal computer. Anyway, the only thing I don't like about Ipswitch is that there's no "ding-dong" alerting me to mail, but that's no biggie. I just keep it reduced on my screen and check it now and then. If something comes in, the Inbox has a red number, and I know to check for mail. I can open and save documents that come in, have folders, etc., etc.

There is no company address book, but actually, the only people I need to write to from my work e-mail are my supe, her supe and my QC, so I added them in. I don't partake in corporate e-mailing, but they would be easy enough to add from their e-mails when they come in if I needed them in the address book.

I liked the notification when I got a new email with Windows Live, but my emails wouldn't get sent.

Because it is better! Did you actually like - that crap mail system we had to use before?

I don't understand why the hate for windows live mail, unless you have actual problems getting it to work? I've used it for years for my personal mail. I like that you can set it up for multiple accounts, so I can check all mail right there. One mail program open, and all my different email accounts listed on the left, and it keeps track of your reply address for each account. I don't think it could get any easier to use! I was THRILLED when I didn't have to use that horrible mail system of theirs anymore!

In my opinion the Live mail was no better than the old mail program as it took forever to get mail as before with all the pop-ups loading stuff and such.

I find IPswitch much easier to use, just like yahoo or other regular email programs, quick and simple. I don't care if I get sound telling me I have mail as I check my mail several times a day anyway.
