I took their test and passed. I emailed them several times. They contacted me once and said they were filling full time positions first (I want part time to begin because I want to see before I commit to 40 hours a week if I can make money). I have worked for a teaching hospital for 30 years. Oh well. If they contact me now, I'll say "NO, THANK YOU!!"

Of course at first it was as I had never done ASR before and new accounts/dictators; but after 2+ years on the same 2 accounts (eScription) with excellent editing output, I am able to average around $10+/hour and I'm not rushing or killing myself to get that. Okay, by the old standards of what I used to make, it may not seem like a lot of money; but it suits me right now. Also, in 2+ years, I have run out of work maybe 3 or 4 times and only for part of the day. Lately, there's always, always work available and constant invitations to jump on to do extra work if you want to. I can't because I'm on early SS and have an income cap. The health insurance is also reasonably priced. One other thing, if you do good work and work your hours consistently, they pretty much leave you alone to do your good work. I think I really lucked out with this company. It's too bad some give it such a bad rap.

Get a decent pay, relatively speaking, and treated as an adult. Don't understand the negativity of others but then there are those who loved Nuance also when I felt imprisoned there.

After reading the replies, seems what I meant to say was misconstrued. When I decide to inquire to e-newspapers about exposing MModal, I meant trying to get the message out about Americans' private information going overseas, as the main point. Ragging on how horrible the company would be just a side thing. If people don't speak out, things don't change. While searching for another transcription job, I came across a company I had never heard of before, "The Right Thing" based in "Findley, Ohio." I thought this could be great, instead of staying with MedQuist offering the "Wrong Thing." I decided to look into it, and it was actually a Medquist advertisement!
