After all, what we put out into the world is what we get back help me, and I think she really is making a BIG difference in help me, please changing the way things are done around here, and just the general help me attitude. I have turned over a new help me leaf and have vowed to only be positive god please help me from here forward.

seems they actually LIKE being unhappy and get upset when the conversation BECOMES happy. I don't get that one! So maybe they should all try it and become happy like the rest of us. :-) and I don't need medication to do that. It's a state of mind. If you want to be happy, you CHOOSE to be. If you want to be negative and angry all the time, you CHOOSE that, as well. JMO>

I tried "choosing" to be positive, changing my diet, meditating, and all sorts of things, but mind over matter isn't always enough. I have serotonin and norepinephrine deficiencies and the Cipralex keeps me mentally healthy. I don't feel elated, but I do feel "normal" for the first time in my life. Also, unlike other meds I've been on, they don't interfere with my creativity. They don't work for everyone, but I, for one, am grateful for them.

They don't keep me from feeling the normal lows people can experience in life, but I no longer get mired in them.

I take Celexa and extended release Xanax, so I didn't mean - to imply there was anything wrong with

taking medicine if you need to. Yes many people suffer from lack of serotonin (the mood balancing hormone) and if your body does not produce enough of it, it can make you depressed. I totally understand your reasoning, I just meant that even with taking medications you sometimes can get down and out, but you cant let life's curve balls get the best of you and bring you down.

I guess I didn't quite explain myself the first time.

Don't worry. I didn't take your post as an attack. I just wanted to clarify in case someone else might feel worried about taking meds. I've been through it all and I know what works for me. I also know everyone is different and it takes a long time to find what works. Years for me. I wish this med had existed 30 years ago. I love not crying all the time.

I put downtime for the entire time, because I get paid by lines not by sitting at a blank computer screen waiting for work. I got a message saying that there was issues, but usually after a few minutes a job would come through. Did you check back in every 5 minutes. Again, I do not get paid for that.
