Transcend regions? - sm

When I was with MQ, it had regions, but in all the information we MDIers have thus received, I don't remember anyone talking about regions. So will the accts that merged over be split into regions?

By the way, has anyone (MDIers) received the new log-in numbers yet? I expect we'll need them for tomorrow and I have yet to hear about mine...

All I can tell you is that when TRS got merged, my supervisor's team and the accounts we work on became a "region." My former TRS supervisor is now my Transcend ROM, and the accounts in our "region" are the same as we had before the merger.

Don't know if it will be the same for you MDI folks, but it would make sense that whatever ain't broke don't need fixin'........ Then again, since when is 'sense' a part of the equation?? But that's a whole 'nother topic....

Numerous conferences I was on they said MDI accounts stay the same. We stay with our primary secondary tertiary accounts, and we already know the few changes that were made with TLs.

No regions were made mention of other than that basically, we would continue to transcribe as we are now, the same accounts, that's it.

to make sure your hours worked and your lines produced come out to the required LPH or I think you will be in trouble. I think the LPH is 150? Not sure.

When my company merged last year we were told that nothing would change, but it did. My primary was switched to a different region within 6 months. The work started drying up right away after the merge. My secondary and tertiary were taken away from me eventually and I only have a primary now with no work in it. Today I got 350 lines and that will be it for the day. My schedule - ha - what a joke - what schedule!!!!! Good luck is all I can say.

The patient's peritoneal carcinomatosis index is 34. This is as follows: Region 03, region 13, region 23, region 33, region 42, region 53, region 63, region 73, region 82, region 92, region and 102, region 112, region 123. The small bowel serosa surface and had minimal disease. They were dictated as region zero 3, 1 3, etc. Im thinking maybe I should have them as 0-3, 1-3, etc all the way down the line to region 10-2, 11-2, 12-3??? ...

Specific regions??? I wish. I am supposed to be West but have reports from California, Oregon, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Virginia, etc. You name it. Hardly ever the same client or dictator. This doesn't make it easy to make line count or any money having to start over with every report. ...

After discussing with some MTs in other regions, I am discovering that MMEs across regions are doing things differently. I just became an MME last year and had not done QA before. We have repeatedly been told to only fix what is WRONG - and to NOT make the report look like we typed it ourselves. I am curious as to if the TLs are meeting their requirements. They are expected to type 75-80% of their time and get paid by the line as well . I am very suspicious that they are not typing VR all day, having their work sent to India, etc, and are getting the straight typing. They get paid a flat fee per month for their administrative duties on top of that. I wonder if they are experiencing no work and looking at a blank screen most of their time& ...

I have read dozens of posts on the board about Transcend, some good and a lot not so good. However, I think there is an explanation for some MTs loving it there and others hating it so much. Transcend is a company made up of many other companies through mergers. The original Transcend who existed first, before acquiring other companies seems to be the problem. I was with the company for over five years, not once failing to meet the requirements of me yet I was told my position would have to change to 2nd or 3rd shift if I wanted to keep my job as there were no positions available for 1st shift. Did anyone else get the memo from Transcend (soon to take over from DTS) about the line rate change for the transitioning employees from DTS? It was elegantly written, but basically it said that when the accounts are switched over the VR that the line rates will decrease but productivity will increase and no cut in pay is expected. It is happening exactly how the posters on this board that have been through takeovers by Transcend said - decreased pay. I gave my notice already BT ...
