All the regions are merged into one? - Slow, but I get there

Posted: Aug 16, 2014

TSM (whatever) sent e-mail saying "With the merger of all regions into one..." I thought it was just a couple of BoBs merging.  Ok. I'd say TSMs will be on the chopping block first, then us, then the suits can put on the party hats and open the Mysore facility with glee.

Not surprised - mt2north

Didn't get that email but I'm sure it was only a matter of time before we were all one big region. I'm in the North region and I've been getting reports from Texas and Georgia for a while now.

Regions have nothing to do with areas of the country. Just diffeent - groups of facilities, no regard to area of country

Merging BOBs - Hot and Bothered

[ In Reply To ..]
Since the merger, there is very little work. Wonder if other MTs are eating it up, however, not getting anythng out of the million hospitals in my current BOB yet. What I did notice was some really poor quality of reports (sloppy and not following client profile). I assume that means more cuts to MTs. Every day it is something new and something more horrible. On a positive note, was transferred to the best Supervisor I have ever had -- she actually works!!

Are you sure they are merging all the Bobs? I thought it was just a merger of regions. Are you sure there is just one region now? The north?

I wonder where the work load is? Also wonder why we can't stay in our Bobs?

Cant stay in BOB cause this managment group thinks their - idea of cess pool is a new idea. nm

The way it was explained to us is this: There has always been several "service centers." They are currently in the process of merging all work to one service center. We switched to the new service center last Monday, from 112280 to 112260. We are to continue with our BOB and so far we have. No change there so far. Hopefully that's the way it will stay. Only time will tell.

They Are Lying To Us - Sad and Defeated

This is the message from the supe:

"So they gave it 'our work' away to helper pools as we were not taking care of it."

Here's their latest plan. Give the work to anyone in any group. If your work isn't there then do anything that pops up (and do it perfectly or else, even if the Client Profile is so convoluted you can't understand most of it). The client will get mad, but instead of firing Mmodal they will purchase a new and improved Mmodal product that does away with the MT entirely.

That is the latest plan as I see it and am experiencing it. The bottom line is don't believe anything your supervisor tells you because they are lying to them too.

NJA IN MQ REGIONS
Jul 28, 2010

Is there any particular region that gets NJA more than others?  Would you be willing to post your state?  I'm wondering why my region is bombarded with work in the past 6 - 8 months.  I am getting calls and emails BEGGING for help. We are always back logged and being offered bonuses and incentive pay.  I am in SW New Mexico.  It is easy to get help and a hold of my CCM and RTL and they are very helpful and professional. Just wondering if it's all in one area o ...

Transcend Regions?
Jan 31, 2010

When I was with MQ, it had regions, but in all the information we MDIers have thus received, I don't remember anyone talking about regions.  So will the accts that merged over be split into regions? By the way, has anyone (MDIers) received the new log-in numbers yet?  I expect we'll need them for tomorrow and I have yet to hear about mine... ...

Specific regions??? I wish. I am supposed to be West but have reports from California, Oregon, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Virginia, etc.  You name it.  Hardly ever the same client or dictator. This doesn't make it easy to make line count or any money having to start over with every report.   ...

Quality Guidlines Across Regions
Apr 24, 2010

After discussing with some MTs in other regions, I am discovering that MMEs across regions are doing things differently.  I just became an MME last year and had not done QA before.  We have repeatedly been told to only fix what is WRONG - and to NOT make the report look like we typed it ourselves.  In other words, don't be picky - only change it if it changes the meaning of the sentence/report. However, this is not the case across regions.  I've seen MTs in other r ...
