Transcend games - Not playing

I used to really take pride in my job and enjoy it. Not so anymore. I am just counting the days until I can get out of this sinking profession. So Transcend, I don't want to play your games. I don't care about the "football challenge." I don't care about the biggest producer contest. I don't care about your SOS calls. I don't care about your hot spots. I don't care about TAT. I used to care, but since you have cut my pay, put me on VR (and don't even get me started on that joke), and overstaffed all my accounts forcing me to jump around on 4 different accounts, I just plain don't care anymore.

I didn't get the original e-mail either. Is that some thinly-veiled attempt to "fix" the game? It should at least start TOMORROW, not TODAY, if that many people didn't receive the e-mail. And, what are the "prizes" or incentives? Nothing was mentioned that I saw. Who cares!

They made it too complicated with all the metaphors for me to even care, but it looks like you only get the bonus if your primary team as a whole shows the most gains over normal line counts.

There is nothing fair about the "games" transcend plays or sponsors. It is always the same winners, but you have no way of finding out who the real winners should have been.
The people designing this games that are supposed to make you think you are having fun while working would be of much greater service if they would spend half that much time correcting the problems with the platforms, especially the editor that gets worse instead of better. Why not spend time making a list of the well hidden short cuts that would make lives easier, correcting the constant problems that exists on every account, fixing templates so that the date goes into the same field for every account, fixing the headers or spaces between paragraphs so everything is uniform. Would it be too much to ask to have a standard macro in the programs for the psychiatric axis diagnoses? Why not have the editor stop making headers whenever it hears the word diagnosis or past history or medication, yet ignoring all the others?
Transcend does not care about its employees or making anything easier or better for you. Its much easier to pay someone big bucks to design children games to play as a coverup for not doing their job.

Maybe I'm being an idealist here, but if you put as much effort in your work as you do into complaining you'd be much better off. While I agree with you that the field is changing, I find it no excuse to complain that things aren't as you'd like them to be. There are plenty of people who would love to have a job, any job, so I would think you'd at least be grateful to be working.

Some people work their job because they need the money and that's it. If they had some place else to go, they'd go in a heartbeat. The OP probably can't quit but is reaching the end of her rope after hanging in there for so long and not feeling appreciated and like an number rather than a person.

People are allowed to complain and not be happy with how they feel they're treated.

I used to work for MDI, then Transcend. When it was still MDI the bonuses for the games were so small it would really take a huge amount of extra lines to make an extra $20 for the day. But generally what happens is you work super hard for very little extra in the paycheck and then a dry account for the next 2 days because all the work was wiped out. I came to dread those games because I knew I would lose money for several days out of the pay period.

If enough people would figure out that the extra money you made during the game only covered you for the lost work for the next 2 days, they might just stop playing those games.

Just remember management plays those games for their own gain, not yours. They are showing the hospitals that they can keep the work in TAT. That's all. It's not to put extra money in your pocket.

So tired of the games. YOu end up with a few extra dollars, if you are lucky. So not worth it. It they would pay more and treat their MLS well, they would not have to play any games.

I quit doing their stupid games a long time ago. I would break my back trying to do 2000 or 2200 lines a day and then within 2 days everything was dried up! The extra that I made playing that stupid game didn't even equal what I lost for the rest of the pay period.

So, I'm not really asking for a show of hands here, but have you been "moved" in the last 2, 3 weeks or so to a hospital account in the upper northwest part of the country that is rather a booger-bear to learn? It is INTENTIONAL, you will be FIESA'd to death if you are not already. (You were likely told that they need you there because it is a difficult account to keep staffed, at least that is what they told the last person). Just warning you. Be on the lookout for that one plan ...

Did VR develop Alzheimer's? It has lost everything. I am tired of no commas, periods, and everything else it reverted back to since its infancy. I am curious as to if the TLs are meeting their requirements. They are expected to type 75-80% of their time and get paid by the line as well . I am very suspicious that they are not typing VR all day, having their work sent to India, etc, and are getting the straight typing. They get paid a flat fee per month for their administrative duties on top of that. I wonder if they are experiencing no work and looking at a blank screen most of their time& ...

I have read dozens of posts on the board about Transcend, some good and a lot not so good. However, I think there is an explanation for some MTs loving it there and others hating it so much. Transcend is a company made up of many other companies through mergers. The original Transcend who existed first, before acquiring other companies seems to be the problem. I was with the company for over five years, not once failing to meet the requirements of me yet I was told my position would have to change to 2nd or 3rd shift if I wanted to keep my job as there were no positions available for 1st shift. Did anyone else get the memo from Transcend (soon to take over from DTS) about the line rate change for the transitioning employees from DTS? It was elegantly written, but basically it said that when the accounts are switched over the VR that the line rates will decrease but productivity will increase and no cut in pay is expected.
