TransTech oncology jobs - Carol2

Posted: May 22, 2013

Anyone with knowledge regarding the oncology jobs that TT has posted on the job board?  Is there enough work?  If so, is it mostly VR?  How are they to work for?  It is really difficult to find companies that will let you do only hem/onc or rad/onc and that is really what I want.  Do you know what platform is used?  Thank you for taking the time to reply.  Would like to hear anything at all you have to say about this company.  Thanks again.

Always ads here, so don't expect miracles. - anon

Some very nice people, some not so. Want only 2 and 3rd shifts. Always out of work. Escription platform. Pretty uster friendly. Linecount program horrible and very time consuming for no pay. Again, like them all...hard to get a paycheck on 4 cents. All VR. Don't say anything bad on this board..they watch.

I took the trouble to take their - test,

and so far after a couple weeks not a peep from them. They are garbage to me.

"Garbage?" - xxx

I don't know anything about this company one way or the other, but calling a company "garbage" is hardly professional.

not if they treat you that way - no message

.

You're right - I would have preferred

the other word for fecal matter, but that's a no-no. Not even bothering to send out a form email acknowledging that you received a 2 hour test, very professional.

No, I am not an MTSO, have never been and never will be - xxx

But what is wrong with a little professionalism? Do you have any idea how many applications companies get? My company asked me not to give its name out anymore, as they are a midsized MTSO (typing only, 9 cpl) because they are always swamped with resumes and it overwhelms their personnel. As far as professionalism, your desire to use that vulgar word for fecal matter says it all. I realize you are frustrated (most MTs are, and I was, too, before I worked hard to find a good gig), but resorting to low-life language is not the answer.
Sounds to me - like

someone could use a break from riding that high horse. If an MTSO doesn't want someone calling them garbage, then they can make an effort not to treat applicants like disposable trash. It takes little or no effort for an MTSO to generate an email saying "thanks we received your application and we'll get to you as soon as possible if we are interested." I don't expect a valentine from anyone, but I don't expect to be treated like a doormat either.

Out of about 12 companies I sent resumes/letters to recently, only one bothered to respond and send me an e-mail saying something like "Due to a high volume of resumes received, it will take longer than anticipated to review each one carefully....Thank you for your patience", etc. I really appreciated getting that e-mail...sounds like a classy company.
I was not talking - about

resumes or applications. I'm talking about taking several hours to take their idiotic tests. Since apparently they consider it necessary to test everyone who applies, tests should be given by invitation only, then at least they should have the courtesy to get back to anyone they felt worthy of testing, whether they pass or not.

Well, one company I took a test for, they let you know beforehand in an e-mail:

"The taking of these tests is a prescreening requirement to work for ______ and not a guarantee that you will be contacted further".

I've read the most recent comments on TransTech, but would like to hear from someone who currently works for them doing Oncology transcription preferably (although any other MTs who currently work for them feel free to reply as well). They are currently advertising for Oncology MTs so can anyone tell me: 1) Is there always enough work to stay busy and are the doctors decent dictators or lots of ESLs?  2) How is the cpl rate?  3) Are you an IC or an employee with this company?&nbs ...

TransTech Medical Solutions ~ Oncology

I know there has been a huge amount of info posted on this company, but I have a specific question. I see they are hiring, once again, for oncology MTs, but my question is this...They want oncology experience with acute care, so do they put you on an oncology account and acute care accounts or what? I have never done acute care, but have over 22+ years in medical and radiation oncology, so I'm wondering whether I should even bother applying with them since I don't do acute care? And se ...

TransTech Oncology - Sitting And Waiting For Work To Come In For Weeks
Jan 05, 2013

I am an oncology MT with TransTech and have been sitting and waiting for work to come in for weeks.   In the last 2 weeks, I have had about 16 hours worth of work.  I'm worrying about how I am going to pay my bills.  Then I come to this site and see that TransTech is once again advertising for Oncology MTs.  This makes me SO ANGRY!!!  Why would a company do this?  Why advertise jobs when their current employees have no work at all??   ...

Just Another Vent About Jobs, No Jobs, Requirement Of Jobs, Etc.
Aug 18, 2010

It is insulting to all of us with the way that MT pay has gone down the drain, it is frustrating and aggravating to look for a "decent" job these days, trying to work out which companies will treat you fairly, which ones lie about their platforms, work, etc., and not only do these companies not want to pay us what we are worth but now I see that MANY companies are requiring the MT to have or "be willing" to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of equipment.  If an employer can PROMISE IN ...
