I have been happily working for Diskriter for the past few years, and I just got an amazon gift card for the holidays! They thanked me for my hard work this year. I LOVE this company; it is nice to know that I am appreciated!!! What a nice touch. Happy Holidays, all!

I don't work in the office but I do know several people who do. I have been working there a long time and really liked the person, RB, who just left. I felt like he really cared about us, but now it is all about the money.

Awhile back, one of the AS e-mails asked for help on one of my accounts, then someone higher up emailed that the short TAT items had been sent "global." That only means one thing to me.

They have GONE Global. The 2nd and 3rd shift supervisors are actually IN India. It is a sad, sad mess. And the upper management has the mindset of Kindergarten teachers....wait, I think the kindergarten teachers might be more competent. Do not even consider going there.

and the general rundown feeling one gets when you have icky accounts and only hear from a company in a negative way. When the new AS came on board, she called, I thought maybe to introduce herself, but only to tell me that a template was the wrong choice on some neuro exam, and when I asked her a question about it, she said she'd never typed on any of the accounts or used the MLS side of the platform so she didn't have a clue. To me, working there is a life-draining experience and I gave my notice. However, again, the Christmas gift was a nice gesture.

Now add that to the 2nd Christmas with nothing in the way of any Christmas cheer and the "opportunity" to learn 6 more new accounts and really gives you motivation to start a new year with the right spirit. Gave my notice today and getting out of this business. Used to love this profession, but just can't make ends meet or justify my hours versus wages any longer.

at first I thought maybe it was just an oversight, that I was still on some kind of list, but my Diskriter e-mail address does not exist anymore and it was in my regular e-mail this morning. I am VERY happy to be away, but it was a nice thing for them to do. I plan to send them a little thank you note in a few days. I'm glad you love the company. I was miserable almost from day one.

Wow and I just got laid off from Diskriter and have a family to support which includes a 1-year-old. Was happy and content working for them up until a week ago.

As a long time MT at DR, I find the undoing of Diskriter to be most upsetting. Anyone else have any thoughts? People have left in great numbers and continue to leave. Stay away from Diskriter who has an ad on the Job Seeker's Board. I worked for them and it was THE worst experience of my life. It is a very big hospital they are referring to with lots and lots of facilities associated with it and lots and lots of account specifics. You need to have a certified degree as a rocket scientist to work for them. They chastise you and make you feel worthless. The QA will knock you down, and then you have to waste YOUR time to prove them wrong, which they always ...

I am offered a position as a QC editor at Nuance. I typically have done hourly QA work, so this is a little difference because it's paid on production. Does anyone work in this position or have you and how is it? Can you make a decent living? Alternatively, I was offered a position as an MT at Diskriter but that's a step down from my usual QA work.
