TTS work today and yesterday - waiting and waiting

Yesterday (Sunday) was slow, only having work for half my shift, but today was nothing on hospital accounts in Rhode Island. I got NO jobs all day today. Anyone else?

are the same, from out east, been somewhat slow work the past few weeks. Seeing a lot of flu and pneumonia though, from what work there is.

I have 2 accounts elsewhere but live in RI. We've had a major snowstorm each week for the last month. There's been 6-7 feet of snow in some places in New England. You no sooner dig out, then another storm comes. Saturday night into Sunday all day were blizzard conditions with high winds, so officials asked everyone to stay off the roads so the plows could do their job. On Monday morning, we started the digging out process again. Travel is very difficult. You should ask for a secondary account. One of mine is frequently asking for extra help. Hint, it's in a mid Atlantic state.

I love how they brag about MTs making 450+ lph on their wonderful VR. BULL. Not on my account, which is probably the one Old Anon pulls as her secondary because it's "hint hint mid Atlantic" and is about 6 months old. VR is terrible, have to correct everything, and retype a lot of the reports because it puts garbage in so as far as I'm concerned, they're stealing from me; I'm straight-typing reports that I'm getting paid VR line rates for. I get bad dictators and bad sound files and there is no way in hell I'll get to 350+ on this account. Where are all these promised good dictators, good sound files, templates to add for easy lines? Not in my work cue obviously. I think they play favorites and purposely limit your income; I make the same thing every day and how is that possible if the work is by TAT? If you don't tell them you're signing on when they want extra help and you do work, you get better dictators and better lines in the time you come back on than what you did while you were working. That's not coincidence. They want us to make money. Right. Show me. Give me some good dictators, good sound files, templates. Throw a dog a bone. Alas, not with this company. The only thing thrown at this company is bull.

My primary is mid Atlantic and I have been on it for about 1-1/2 years, so I don't think it's the one you are thinking of. I have a secondary elsewhere. I don't believe the 450+ stuff either, never did; but I consistently do low 300s with good quality and pretty darn good drafts that don't need a lot of fixing on both my accounts. I'm so sorry you are so unhappy with them and hope you find another MTSO that you are happier with.

if I did am certain TTS would identify me and I just want to remain in the shadows. I was identified once on this site by a previous job and do not intend for this to happen again. Anyway, I worked on the particular account I made the great lines on for years, did not have 2 or 3 accounts and had no reason to lie about the counts. I once worked in house where the 2 bosses outdid me as far as line counts and I know mine were always extremely high. You should never assume just because you cannot make high line counts that others are in the same boat.

but it may be the exception and not the rule. They should not tell everyone who applies that this is possible because it is not possible for everyone. That is what people take exception to when they find they cannot meet those expectations and feel they have been lied to. There was a short poll a few weeks back about how many lines people could pull on Escription, and I believe the majority were in the 300s with occasional lucky days to 400. I'm sure you are very proud you can accomplish that much and you should be. Most of us can't. I'm happy to be in the 300s.

my side of the story in how I was able to achieve the high line count others think impossible. Just tried to explain and came up short on my end. When others say 400 plus lines on VR cannot be done guess will just keep to myself from now on how I've done it. Lesson learned.

Just curious if MQ is going to try to ignore yesterday's DocQscribe crash. My CCM is on vacation so I just put an alert on my timecard. The RTL told me that it was not an alert and deleted my note. So downtime or not? I guess I will just be short this week because I am not making up hours or taking PTO when their stupid system crashes and MQ refuses to own up to it. When I started out MT years back I transcribed for the local hospital ER docs group. I loved it, but moved on when work dwindled down. A friend works for the group of hospitals in management so I asked who was doing the ER transcription now, I wanted to apply. I was told the hospitals in this area have started using scribes and are slowly doing away with MTs altogether. The exact same thing my new GP doc told me a year ago. I was a patient in a local ER yesterday and had the nicest British physician. I was directly across from central and was able to hear this physician dictate. Clear, concise, perfect speed, a dream to transcribe. The downside is the hospital uses Epic only - no editing by human hands (and ears) at all. We were out of TAT once last week and since then if there are more than 2 (well maybe I am exaggerating here) jobs in the pools they open up OT. Everyone needs to make money, so of course many of us come in and work. Understandable. On the 3 horrible reports that I had to submit to QA yesterday because of the 3-blank rule, thus losing 3 cpl probably, QA had no more luck filling in the blanks than I and sent them through with 5-10 blanks. I got an e-mail encouraging me to test on-line for MQ and submit my resume and they would be anxiously awaiting it and monitoring their system for it to come through so that they could promptly contact me about a position.
