How is Inscribe as an employer?

I worked for InScribe when she was in KY, run and don't look back!

Pay on time, lots of work - MiMt

Been with InScribe for a while, part time. Plenty of work. Pay is direct deposit, never been late. Know your acct standards. Be able to work independently.

Be prepared - MT

Unless things have changed and she's on a better med regimen, the owner of Inscribe is a nutcase. She hasn't a clue on how to run the company effectively. Lots of micromanaging, overkill with supervisors, team leaders, or whatever she's calling them this week, and e-mails. Lordy, those bolded, red, screaming e-mails! She now requires you to obtain an LLC and point out how it protects you. In reality it covers her rear so she can still treat you as an employee and call you an IC. Pay is only by line and no reimbursement for time spent in useless GoToMeetings and time spent sorting through e-mails, ever changing account specs, etc. If you don't know anything else, then it might be worth a try to get your feet wet and gain experience. Otherwise, Nuance or M*Modal are better alternatives.

NOT TRUE AT ALL! I have worked for InScribe for quite a while and have NEVER been required to become an LLC. Before going to InScribe, I worked for the same company for 12 years. I have NEVER regretted my decision to go to InScribe. Are they tough on quality? You bet they are, and we are required to maintain 99.5% accuracy or better. Guess what that means? We have the highest quality MTs in the industry. People can say what they want about the owner, and will, but inside that tough exterior is one of the nicest, most caring individuals I have known in the industry. I am proud to be an IC with InScribe, there is always work, they always pay, and they genuinely care about people, despite what the 'other' stories are! And maybe someone else had a bad experience, but that does not mean that EVERYone does or will.

quality of the dictation/dictator, regardless of being ESl or not, unless you are kept on 1 or 2 accounts consistently and get to know the idiosyncracies of the dictators, I think it is difficult to maintain almost 100 percent accuracy, especially with things out of your control. YOu may be the best of the best but if you have dictators you cannot understand, how is that your fault? If you are someone in a different industry and the work you do is solely within your control with no outside influences, and you have high standards for yourself, then yes, it is possible. IMO, the best of the best transcriptionists know when to blank a medication or a medication dose when the dictator slurs or even makes up spelling (yes, it happens), etc. This is a responsible MT who knows not to guess at something like a medication or dosage. To then be punished or dinged for this kind of thing shows incompetence to me. QA should be a learning tool ( and it used to be) and even QA sometimes cannot fill in a blank. You should rethink what the best of the best means. A perfect score of 100 percent with guessing does not qualify.
Quality w/ a blank - BHmt
[ In Reply To ..]
It's true. I am an InScriber. The best MT will know when a blank is absolutely necessary and after research and the help of an "extra ear", he/she will opt to insert a blank and let the physician verify what is needed. This is what InScribe does too. And that MT who has a well-placed and necessary blank will still achieve high quality w/o the penalty of a blank. I believe that what makes InScribe a bit different is that we do not rely on "oh, I can just insert a blank and not bother to research". The researching is what has made me better. My ear is sharper now and I can hear so much more than I used to hear. What may be a blank for others is not for me. I'm proud of that. I thank InScribe for their expectation of high quality, yet options for leaving a blank when it's called for...no other trans. co. has strengthened my skills like this!

Keystrokes - A Good Company Gone Bad Sm
Apr 03, 2011

KS seems to be getting lower and lower in the popularity with emplooyees test. I worked for them once but left for the reasons everyone is talking about.  There was no communication. The owner was never truthful and everyone is afraid of her because of her horrible temper tantrums. The accounts are overstaffed - you might get put on another account but it will be overstaffed too. The only accounts that are not overstaffed are the terrible ones that no one wants to work on and it is imp ...

Good Company With Benefits For New MT
Jul 21, 2013

I am currently working at a hospital as a Lab Assistant in Pathology. My job has many different responsibilities, but majority is transcription – which I love! I am trying to decide if I want to try becoming an at home medical transcriptionist. This is a huge decision/risk for me as I have been in my current position since 1999. I used to love my job, but as the years have passed, I have found myself disgusted to go to work. This is due to changes in personnel and too many people not ...

TransTech- Good Company

I've been with TransTech for about 2 years, but I'm going to back to working with people now that I'm not having to deal with military moves anymore.
