A 10 day notice has been given on a longstanding hospital account. Employees on this account will be moved to other accounts (September 30, 2013).

Remember the goold old days when we were notified 10 days before losing an account? Don't you think it's odd Imedx does not do this anymore? Multiple accounts go down last month and not a peep, just locked out?

Why not go out and enjoy the day instead of being a pot stirrer? - sm

Apparently you have nothing better to do. As for myself, this is my one check of the day to see the latest "the sky is falling" post then it's off to the beach on this glorious day and then a movie tonight. Why not get outside and smell the roses for once and step away from the computer...

I agree, Imedx keeps stiring the pot. They should enjoy the day and get away from the computers. This history lesson does nothing but upset us. No value at all with this stuff.

Everyone has had a heads up when TT announced its "merger" with Imedx. Why all the complaining now? The whining and complaining is getting old. Personally, I took this job after the "merger" knowing it probably would not last, but it is a job. I intend to ride it out and keep looking in the meantime.
That was my decision as it was for anyone that chose to stay.

All this negativity is scaring everyone.
They had plenty of time to look for a job and leave.

As for myself I knew what could possibly happen in a merger and I have heard plenty of stories of what happens after a merger and I am self supporting so I am not blaming anyone for what happens.

TT sold out, Imedx bought them, don't blame Imedx for TT wanting to get out and make money while they could.

If a company is proud of its business decisions, then why not put it in a commercial? Let me put it this way, if I worked at McDonald's fast food, went to the door to open up during my shift, and door was locked, or I went in and I got paid sometimes, and other times not, or changes were occurring so rapidly that the management/owners felt not obligated, as a HUMAN BEING to tell us huge changes were occurring, with no notice, would that not get you concerned.

The reason why this field is so poorly paid, is because MTs have single handledly kept lowering the bar to where now we are looked at desperate, I get it. Some folks in this field insist on being treated like (**!?!), so we get treated like (**!!?!!!!!!!!).

My main gripes are that decent people do decent things, even in the business community. We are not asking much, just a heads up, 2 weeks would be nice. They not only are avoid this, they flat out refuse to comment.

The CIA refuses to comment when they are nailed, and the CIA talks to the press when they want to (of course, I am sure at that moment they have a nice script ready).

Where is the precious AAMT or AHIMA or whatever they're called now? Glad I did not get certified!

ImEDx, put your actions into a commercial and show the world, and see if they like it. I personally would never deal with a company who had this track record. I only work here because I am allergic to the sun.

I secretly predictated that Imedx/TT would end up losing a major, major account. Now, it is coming true, unfortunately. If  you woke up this morning with several hundred jobs out of TAT on a major account for IMEDX, you should not be surprised. Imedx made their bed when they offered 12 hour TAT versus the 24 hour TAT that was prior, just to get an account. This is nothing new, this industry's MTSO have been lowering the bar just to get more accounts. QA over the years has gotten tougher, which a subjective 98.5% pass rate. Was laid off in April.  Have a couple offers from transcription companies, and one from a clinic which is part of a huge school/hospital system in our area, (which actually is through a temp agency).  There are only 2 full-time NP's and a handlful of part-time NP's.  The hospital job is a 45-minute drive, 1-way, in light traffic.  Pay to start is $13, but if this temp goes to permanent, potential is much greater.  The clinic is open M-F, 8-4, closed holidays.&n ...
