Hi Everyone, Have you every heard of a company called Silent Type. Are they good or bad to work for, steady workflow, compensation rate. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Haven't worked for them, but I believe you have to travel to their site - for training NM

One of the contract employees at the hospital I work at works for Silent Type full-time. She says she really like it. Only thing is when she got the job, they actually flew her all the way to New Jersey to train. Not sure if they still do that or not. I thought that was a little strange, but she's been with them for several years now. Hope that helps.

I also heard that if you leave their employ before a certain time limit, you have to reimburse them for the airfare. This was a few years ago, so not sure if still valid.

MRT Babbly Type previously MRT Service I did some work, they were offering $1 per audio minute (I was skeptical) and they continue to email about working on projects (but I didn't) the minute I asked about payment for the work I did I never heard from them again. Would like to know about steady work flow, general idea about line rates, if they provide equipment, straight typing versus VR, weekends required, and do they still require you to train on site at your own expense and if so when is that reimbursed? I have been with Silent Type for a year now. I enjoy the fact we work M-F schedule and no weekends. I also enjoy the fact that we have good QA. I also enjoy the fact we get vacation and bonuses. I also enjoy the fact we are offered health insurance and 401-K. Girls don't forget these perks when you are complaining about the work being light. Is anyone getting work?? I am told there is plenty of work, but keep getting "no jobs available". If you are getting work, when do you get it?? I have flexed every way I know and still get no work. If you are getting work, are you milking the system 24 hours a day to get it??
