Anyone working at Transform care to share your experience - Daphne

Posted: Oct 26, 2011

Anyone working at Transform care to share your experience with this company.  I have never done editing before but I do have about 14 years oncology experience.  Is there enough work?  I would much rather do straight transcription, but it is getting more difficult every week to even find jobs hiring for it.  Also what is their pay scale for doing editing.  Do they have any straight transcription?  Thanks for your help.

Looking for info on Transform as well - Curious

I'm also looking for information regarding this company as far as pay scale, etc. I'm also wondering what their hiring process is like--testing, interview, etc. I'm basically looking for any information, good or bad. Thanks.

They were bought years ago by MD-IT - MTtoo

but they still have a "storefront" online. I left there as the sale was happening and the time our pay line rate got cut almost in half, although I'm not sure if those two events were related. System was M-Modal, both typing and VR. Management was very, very capricious.

Good company to work for. Pay scale isn't the greatest but they do offer incentives to help bump up the pay. Very friendly, knowledgable employees (from training to IT to team lead). It is mostly editing, but their system is a pretty good one, and a trainer will work with you on editing skills. I wish I had done better while with them but was having a bout of depression so resigned. On the upside, I am feeling better now and believe I have another position lined up with another good company. $Fingers crossed$

Forgot to say - FC

Even though I said their pay scale isn't the greatest, it is in keeping with the new industry standard; moreover, as stated previously, they do offer a variety of incentives based on line count, quality, shift, etc.

Thanks for the feedback! nm - Curious

I work for Transform. Pay scale depends on if hired for IC or employee as they do offer the ICs more, but their employee benefits are good, more affordable then the plans my previous companies offered, which I could never afford. Their pay scale is in line with the going rates offered by other companies, but they offer a great incentive plan, so your actual rate is above the baseline scale offered. I really like that they have incentive pay for going over a set amount of lines, but the bonus is then applied to ALL lines not just the ones over the minimum. They also have quality bonuses, which is nice. I have never been paid bonus for quality, so it is nice to be awarded for a job well done.

As far as I know, it is all VR, but their VR is the most accurate I have worked with and the platform is really good. I don't have to waste a lot of time with formatting like I did when I used Escription.

I also have had plenty of work. I have been assigned multiple accounts, but they assigned me accounts that have similar specs, so it is easy to switch between accounts.

I have worked for about 12 companies in the past 5 years and so far Transform is one of the best I have worked for. My QA team is great and are always available for help and I never feel left alone to figure things out for myself with the platform and account specs as I have in the past. If I need help, I just IM one of the team and get an immediate response. My trainer has even checked in with me several times just to see how it was going. I have had computer issues twice now and each time IT was responsive and answered my email for help within the hour and was able to fix the problem right away. It is definitely a much different experience than I have had with other companies.

Great to hear. I accepted a position as...sm - Curious

an employee today. Thanks for the feedback on the pay scale; that scared me a little at first. I'm looking forward to starting with them. :)

Congrats!! -nm - Transform MT

The VR cannot even understand these ESLs, so I am not understanding why they would be placed in VR.  I mean really, this VR sucks.  It leaves out a lot of easy words that it didn't seem to catch on the English speaking docs also.  I seem to be spending a lot of time typing these ESL VR jobs instead of editing them.  Thanks for any input.  ...

Share Your Experience Working At Keystrokes
Jan 21, 2013

Would you please share your experience working at Keystrokes.  Is it as bad as posted on here, or are there any "happy" MTs there?  Are you able to work your full shift and get your line counts?  If not, how many different accounts do you have to work on to make enough money to live on?  Are their platforms hard to learn and do you have to switch back and forth on those too?  Do you get raised to 8 cpl as promised?  Thanks for any info you would care to share...appreciate your time. ...

Any X-JLGers Care To Share Experiece Since Being Bought? Sm
Nov 17, 2011

I'm curious if it is "business as usual" across the board or did that depend on what accts we worked on.  For me it has been business as usual when there is business.  I have run out of work more in the past 2 months than I did the 3+ years that I worked for JLG.  Not sure where the work is going but I have some guesses.  I'm also extremely anxious about when all the punishments kick in for us valued MTs.  I for one do not wish to be rewarded.  I think MQ ...

Getting Acute Care Experience
May 26, 2010

I have been an MT for 11 years and am wanting to expand my knowledge base beyond the realm of radiology. I have been applying for acute care positions but I am not even given the opportunity to test most of the time because I don't have any acute care experience. I would like to know what I would have to do in order to get some acute care experience behind me so that I can become eligible to apply for and test for acute care positions. Any information anyone has on this would be most a ...

Acute Care Experience

Experienced, But No Acute Care Experience

Hi All, I have been a transcriptionist for 10 years, working both in-house and home (currently doing both), but the company I currently work for is going to EMR (and of course, I'm the one setting it up for them) and will be out of a job within the coming months. I have applied and taken tests for various companies and have also had phone interviews over the last year.  Unfortunately I am not offered a position due to "not having enough experience" in the acute care field.  Corr ...

Acute Care Transcription - Does Anyone Have Experience?

I have been transcribing for 30 years mostly orthopedics. I want very much to do acute care transcription. Does anyone think I have a chance to get into it? I feel as though I am at a dead end if I don't do something different to further my career. I feel very qualified to do it. I took a good course from AHDI with cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and surgeries through Oak Horisons. This was a very well-rounded course and covered everything involved. Thought maybe someone m ...

Anyone Care To Share Their "likes" About
Jul 30, 2012

Because I'm failing to see it's superiority over DQS 6.  None of the features seem to work right on it, and even the ASR, although still a wreck, was better in DQS 6.  For example, DQS 7 ASR puts in headings every time it hears the word plan or medication, etc.  It also fails to put any commas in when there is a sentence listing something.    Just thought it would be helpful if somebody shared something they liked about DQS 7 that DQS 6 didn't have.  ...
