I have never been told to spell it out - sm

I type oncology reports all day. I have never been told to do that. I think this is one of those things where it depends on who the QA person is and whether they know what they're doing. It seems like everywhere you go, every QA person has their own rules, and they contradict each other. Are you getting penalized in any way for "errors" like that? If not, don't worry about it. Otherwise, I would check with your supervisor. Where I work, I get dinged by QA for a lot of stuff that I disagree with (again, it depends on the QA person), but since it doesn't affect my pay or anything, I just ignore it.
