You might let your supervisor know it is clearly outlined in our Excused Absence Policy and Work Availability Policy PDF files on InnerCircle that we "DO" use EXCUSED ABSENCE - NO WORK when you submit your leave request during NJA time. This helps to ensure you CODE your entry correctly and also you do not use your other PTO or Excused Absences - No Pay pool of times up unnecessarily.
You can go to InnerCircle and look under HDS CENTER and click on POLICIES AND GUIDES to find these PDF files. I would save a copy and/or even print a copy out. Your supervisor might need to read it her/himself and if any issues I would go directly to HR or Payroll about it.
