I don’t know if it’s different for ICs. This is something employees have been upset about for years. This seems to vary from team to team, as most of us are told we MUST use our PTO or EANP or make up the time with NJA. If that seems unfair, it is. And once it’s gone, it’s gone. Most of us have been told NEVER to use EANW unless it has been approved ahead of time by the manager/HDSM. However, some say EANW is approved on their teams. They are the lucky ones because EANW never runs out and does not deplete what should be paid or unpaid time off. The rest of us use our EANP or PTO. And that will not be replaced again until next January.
