What are some ways that a doctor can dictate a chest CT? I can't understand what she is saying. It sounds like amiable mirror column images were obtained.

I've never heard of that. My doctors just start out CT of the thorax was obtained. Mirror images are in my radiology book so I think that's correct. Sorry I can't help you out more.
Hello! :) I am typing a radiology report, and I can't make out what word is in the blank parentheses: "TECHNIQUE: Multiple (___) images were taken of both the kidneys and the bladder." Does anyone know what kind of images that might possibly be? ...
In pelvic ultrasound, doc says color flow _____ images. s/l "secular" but I'm wondering if it is "sector" Also same word in venous Doppler. Any ideas? Thanks ...
Just wondering if those of you who oppose offshoring would work for a foreign company? I know of some MTs who work for Australian company Ozescribe - they have MTs in Australia, USA, Canada and Israel plus probably a few other countries. Isn't that the same as Indians transcribing for US companies?
If not, what makes it different? I'm trying to understand why it's okay for US workers to work for other countries but not the other way around? Or would it be ...
My employer has agreed to pay to have me fax reports to several different facilities. I have to print out every report I fax (if someone knows a different way, I'm listening)... so, we're talking time, paper, toner, wear and tear on equipment..... How are people out there calculating to do that? My employer hasn't a clue and I'm treading unfamiliar waters? Any help?? ...
Hello fellow MT's! I am almost finished with my MT course, and I would like some counsel from everyone on their experiences with continuing education after graduation. First I am going to go for my RMT as recommended by the ADHI. What tools and resources did you use that helped? Which ones do you recommend? Has anyone gotten a degree to enhance their knowledge, and if so, what degree? I have recently been discharged after 8 yrs in the Army and I have been studying in my ...
After your six months of training, they put you on production and you are unable to meet their standards with accuracy or amount of charts? Are you guaranteed to have a job for two years? Yes, they are paying for your schooling, so you owe them two years, but you WILL be spending your time studying and supposedly the program is very intense -- do you get a guarantee for employment for that long? ...
Once again, whoever is writing this drivel needs fired and spread out their salary to those actually working. Just when I think I can't get any more fed up. . . ...
Okay, I really have to ask this and get this out of my system. As an MT, if you work as an IC, and you commit to be available during a rough time period, do you feel that it is okay not to show up when you are supposed to? I find myself very aggravated this evening. I am a QA for a company who has been beaten about on this board several times, but at the same time, if you take a job and commit to something, shouldn't you show up when you say you will? Is it right for ...
I am so stuck. I have searched and searched, and I cannot find this word. This patient had blunt trauma to his chest. They did a portable chest x-ray and report "Cardiac silhouette appears quite normal. The _________ (s/l viasendly) does appear evident in the left anterior chest." ...
Its my day off and all I do is think about what awful thing they will do to me next. I literally have chest pain. I am scared all the time. I am scared when I am typing that I am making a mistake. I am scared when I am not typing that I won't make enough money to support my family. I am scared every time I spend a penny. There is no rest for the weary. ...

Dermatology doc says "Pt has a pink papule along the (s/l) nullcline on his right lower chest."

I am really really really (times pi) sickened but I figure if I write it here I can go to work and try to hang in there. I got the quarterly bonus and qualify for most times the weekly ones (depending on OOW situation and or if there are so many ESL a week I can't get the goal lines). Anyway, I have this high QA score on my weekly time sheet which is figured quarterly. Now, for the past 2 weeks, I am informed by TL that my quality is 98.6%, that I have in excess of 50, yes 50 critical error ...
