I need Help with stupid split jobs. When did it change from old way? sm - nowwhat

I can't believe I have not had a split job since new changes to DQS, but today I have a split job. I did what I thought was the correct way and had cursor where it should be. Asked for split, then yes, and oh my heavens. I cannot get anything of the other original to pull up and NO ADT info will even load. Sorry I had to break this, and I have sent a message to my QA Sup to help this very old dog. Does anyone else get totally confused on how they changed the split job instructions?

They are making stuff harder and harder for us to understand now...like the new way of splitting reports...and that new heading feature...and the new version of DocQScribe.....blarrgh. It's so frustrating, isn't it?

Make sure the voice is where it is supposed to be and the cursor at the bottom of the report where t - mqmt

Then when you hit split all of the first report should be highlighted in yellow. It you have not put the cursor where it should be then you need to say "no" you don't want to split this job and try again.

Once the job is split at the bottom of the ADT screen there is an import button. You click on that and it will bring up whether you want the same patient, dictator, MR #, etc., and then when you have all the info, you "import" and the ADT screen fills in.

You have to change the type of job if the first one dictated for instance was an H&P and then you want a DS but the rest is there for you, just import it.

I screwed it up the first time and that is how I learned!

It is nice to see there are still some of us who understand the term teamwork and empathy with all these everyday, every hour changes MQ throws at us. I am an old dog who continues to learn new tricks... The import thing is something I don't ever recall learning about in that long ago new DQS upgrade training video.

Back to the drudge and sludge, wishing I could have some fudge!!

Yes, these split jobs really ruined my shift too. I would get to the end of the clinic note, then control shift L to split the job and no split job would appear. I am on the Cornerstone platform. I checked that day on the job list and the 2nd part, the procedure note, never appeared. I was told by the Help Desk to exit Cornerstone, but to uncheck the box that says "refuse jobs." Then the job you are working on comes back. Nothing appears past the split though. So you increase the jobs coming into your queue, and the split job does come in, but as a new job number, not with an "S". The only way you recognize it is it has the exact same number of seconds in length as the one you are working on. When you click on that job to view it, it is the 2nd part of the job you thought you lost.

I did the first job, put the cursor at the end, and split. I have an empty ADT screen but the first report is still on the screen. Am I supposed to put in the new ADT information and then just manually delete the first report? It's a VR report. ...

This is something that has been bothering me. I feel stupid asking, but since it's rather important, I ask. cpl Currently, I am making 0.083 per line typed.
