Whether the current huge backlog is due to call-offs, folks not wanting to put in overtime, or people just outright quitting NTS, I say hip-hip hooray.
I hope this gets management's attention that their approach to *handling* their employees by constantly cutting pay is not working for them.
My sincere condolences to the new Transcend people, and the new Accentus workers coming on board.
As an ex-Webx, we heard this song and dance 2 (?) years ago. We all took big base pay hits, salved over with the exclamation how their new great technology would be able to increase our production by leaps and bounds. NOT SO.
I've been bombarded with Emails asking for overtime....what makes them think I want to help them out in a time of crisis? Cut my pay again? Go find you some clever 4-centers to clean up your mess.
Unfortunately, they'll probably just send more work to India then. nm - Transcend

They can't send all the work to India, many hospitals don't want it sent there. People in this industry need to get together and stop working now. Even if just for a few days. It will hurt them.

Then, there will be no work for the holidays and you all will have no work. Is that getting you a raise? Is that getting clearer dictation? Is that giving you better dictators?

If I dont know how to spell it or say it it gets a blank! They can look. I will never see a bonus anyhow.

Did anyone else get the message from Massanotti? What do you think? Also, I went to medquist.com and was struck by the fact that they are marketing front-end dictation systems with SpeechQ, thereby eliminating transcriptionists altogether! I am not surprised, any way to get us out of the picture will make them more money.
